Sample Week and Weekend Schedules
Sample Weekday Schedule:
8am All residents must be awake.
8:15am Residents will meet in the living room for morning check-ins.
Morning Check-ins: residents will begin check-ins with fifteen minutes of silence to reflect on the day ahead in any manner that they choose. Residents will then check-in with each other and staff about the day ahead over breakfast.
8:30 - 9am Residents will finish breakfast, make their beds and tidy their rooms, before getting themselves ready for the day.
9am - 3pm Residents will participate either in work or in school. See our school and employment policy for more details.
3pm - 5:30pm Residents will use this time either to meet with their personal therapists and psychiatrists, do 12-step work with their sponsors, or simply relax. Residents will have access to their phones during this time, and will be granted access after completing their assigned chore.
5:30 - 6:30pm Residents will participate in our Community Dinner Program. For elaboration, see the Community Dinner Program page under our Program Menu tab.
6:30 - 8pm: Residents will either attend a twelve-step meeting in the greater Annapolis community chaperoned by staff, or a volunteer from the twelve-step community will take an hour to engage with residents either in the form of a twelve-step meeting, or the volunteer will lead an activity.
8pm - 10pm Residents will wind down for the night.
10pm Lights out. Following evidence based practices, residents will have the option of sleeping for ten hours every night. Lights-out and wake-up time will remain the same every day of the week, as studies show that the best remedy for sleep-related issues is a constant sleep schedule.
