Residents will participate in a community dinner where staff, donors, and volunteers will gather and hold discussions about the following topics:

  • Monday: What’s going on in the world?
      • One resident will present an introduction on this topic. This resident will have researched and prepared a basis of discussion.
  • Tuesday: Gratitude
      • We will go around the table and each person will have the opportunity to talk about what they are grateful for.
  • Wednesday: Where are you in your recovery?
      • Everyone present will have the opportunity to talk about where they are at in recovery.
  • Thursday: House meeting
      • Residents and staff will use this time to communicate with one another and present any issues they are currently dealing with, seeking guidance and help in remaining accountable.
  • Friday: Family Movie Night
      • Residents will watch a movie voted on by the community.
  • Saturday:  Movie Night Debrief
      • Residents will hold a discussion on the movie picked for family movie night.
  • Sunday: Deep Think
    • One resident will research and introduce a topic on a moral, philosophical, or theological issue or phenomenon. This resident will have prepared a basis of discussion.

Residents will be involved in preparing dinner, as well as cleaning up, on an alternating basis. On Sundays and Mondays, a resident will have the opportunity to lead a discussion. They will have researched and prepared on the topic. Our program teaches our residents how to speak and think for themselves on a variety of matters, and how to respectfully and effectively hold a conversation with others.
