Admissions Process for Teen Home Only
Our admissions process is very selective in order to protect the recovery-positive environment of our home. In order to be a candidate for our home, residents must successfully complete a treatment program.
A licensed social worker will complete a thorough assessment of candidates and their legal guardians in order to determine whether this program is right for them. This includes a careful review of a candidate’s medical, educational, legal and treatment records. Candidates and guardians will complete multiple interviews throughout this process. There is an application fee of $250. If admitted, this will be used as a deposit and put toward the cost of the first month of the program.
A good candidate for YRHS Residency:
- Demonstrates a desire to stay sober and live in a sober community.
- Demonstrates the capacity and desire to be honest.
- Is willing to commit to keeping the community substance, violence, and bullying-free.
- Does not have a recent history of violence.
- Has a history of complying with rules in other programs.
- Is capable of independently completing activities of daily living.
- Is willing to submit to random substance screenings.
- Is willing to submit to ongoing room inspections and contraband checks.
- Guardians that are pro-recovery, value the voices of those with lived experience, and are willing to support all aspects of our program.
Program Cost and Scholarships
The cost of room, board, and programming is between $1,500-$6,000 per month.
All residents enter our program on Level 1, where the cost per month is the highest in order to provide the appropriate care and attention necessary for youth early in recovery. As a resident progresses in our program, they have the opportunity to apply to a higher level. As a resident's level increases, their monthly cost of stay decreases because they are becoming more self-sufficient and are taking on more leadership and service roles within the home.
Our vision is for any youth that has a strong desire to stay sober to be able to access recovery housing regardless of financial situation. Unfortunately we do not yet have the funding available to be able to provide scholarships at this time.
